Great news for everyone here for those whom need to lease vehicle to make living by driving Uber. The Koperasi Pelaburan Amanah Berhad (KAPB), together withCartrade Group, has entered into a partnership with Proton to create Quick Ride, a company that will lease vehicles to prospective Uber driver-partners. The partnership is being made and launched officially on 5 Sept 2017.
The MOU is being made so that all Malaysian lease the car if the Uber driver with the criteria stipulated below is complied.
- Malaysian citizen
- 21 years old and above.
- Mentally healthy.
- Doesn’t have criminal records.
- Is not declared bankruptcy.
- Poses legitimate driving license.

There are 2 types of car available for application for leasing which will be Proton Saga 1.3L STD CVT or Persona 1.6L STD CVT with only RM1,000 as deposit. The leasing is as low as RM45/day (Saga 1.3L STD CVT) or RM55/day (Persona 1.6L STD CVT).
What benefit included in this leasing?
- Road tax, insurance cost and maintenance is bear by Quick Ride.
- Free wifi on each new Proton.
- A set of interactive tablet.
- Automatic classified under UberX app.
This campaign will accommodate 1, 000 unit of Proton cars for the potential driver and this number is estimated to increase up to 11, 000 within the next 2 years.
