    GrabCar Weekly Earning Structure
    (July 25, 2016 to July 31, 2016)

Message from our Head of Operations:

We hope that everyone has had a productive week at work after Raya. With Klang Valley’s workforce back to their daily routine, we have seen a return to pre-Raya booking levels from last week’s data.

As a reminder of last week’s update, we have updated our Earning Structure from a minimum guaranteed fare to a minimum guaranteed AVERAGE fare. This week, we have further laid out this change with a diagram, along with 2 examples.

We hope that you will have a productive and fruitful week ahead. Take care and have a wonderful week!
*Please read the fine print and refer to busy area map for the details.

[NEW] This week’s guide to greater earnings!

Make sure you satisfy these requirements for earnings.

*Please read on for full details.

With our new Guaranteed Average Fare per job, the more you work, the more you will earn! So, continue to accept bookings even after you have achieved your fare target.

To qualify for earnings, you must:

    1. Hit the fare collection target for the tier that you are aiming for.
    2. ONCE you have hit a tier’s target and if your average fare collected per job is lower than the minimum guaranteed AVERAGE fare amount set by GrabCar, GrabCar will top-up your average fare per job to the minimum guaranteed average fare.

    3. If your average fare collected per job is above the minimum guaranteed average fare amount set by GrabCar, you will not receive any top-up.

    4. *Bonus Hour Examples:

      1. Example 1On Monday, Simon earned a total fare of RM150 from 10 jobs, therefore his average fare collected per job is RM15. Since he met the *Bonus Hour Daily Target Fare Collection of RM135 for Tier 1, we will top up RM10 for each job, bringing his guaranteed average fare to RM25 per job!

      2. Example 2On Wednesday, Simon earned a total fare of RM260 from 10 jobs, therefore his average fare collected per job is RM26. Since his average fare collected per ride is RM26, he will be earning his fare as per usual with no additional top-up.

    Monday to Thursday6am to 10am5pm to 8pm
Friday6am to 10am12pm to 2pm5pm to 3am (Ends on Saturday)
Saturday11am to 2pm5pm to 3am (Ends on Sunday)
    Sunday: 11am to 2pm5pm to 10pm

**Non Bonus Hours are hours outside Bonus Hours, excluding 12am – 6amMonday to Friday. This means that there will be no additional earnings for jobs done from 12-6amMonday to Friday, only your fares collected for the jobs.

50% of your bonus hours jobs in a week must be picked up from our 13 busy areas. Please find a detailed map of our busy areas here – http://bit.ly/gc_busyareas

    1. Use Waze / Google Maps to get to your passengers pick up and drop off point.
    2. Be polite and humble to passengers.
    3. Always drive safely – Eg: avoid texting when driving, drive within the speed limit, be alert to traffic lights and other vehicles around you.
    4. Honour all GrabPay and promo bookings.
    Airport Promo is still on!

*You will get a total gross earnings of RM 77 for each airport trip.

RM 77 = RM 65 (Received from Passenger) + RM12 (Immediate Top Up into Credit Wallet)

    The Fine Print

To qualify for earnings, you must:

    1. Maintain an average driver rating of 4.3 and above.
    2. Maintain a Weekly Acceptance Score of 85% [UPDATED]. Your Weekly Acceptance Score will be reset every Monday at 12:01am to 0%.
    3. Maintain a weekly driver cancellation rate at a maximum of 12% in order to qualify for earnings. Weekly driver cancellation rate* is calculated as Number of Driver Cancellations in a week divided by Number of Accepted Bookings in a week. *For earnings purposes only, bookings cancelled by passengers will NOT affect weekly driver cancellation rate. However, high overall cancellation rate will still be monitored.
    4. To qualify for earnings, pick ups are limited to areas within KLIA, KLIA 2 and Klang Valley (except Cyberjaya) only. You can drop off anywhere in Klang Valley, Genting Highlands, KLIA and KLIA 2. Drop offs outside these areas will not be included in target fare collection.
    5. To qualify for bonus hours earnings, 50% of your bonus hours jobs in a week must be picked up from busy areas. If you do not meet this requirement, you will not be eligible for any bonus hours earnings. This requirement does not apply for non-bonus hours earnings.
    6. Earnings will be calculated based on your weekly unique passenger count. Each unique passenger entitles you to ONE completed ride for the week. Only the fare amount of your FIRST unique passenger booking will be considered for the calculation of fare collection target.
    7. Achieve the fare target that is calculated based on bonus and/or non bonus-hours tier. Fare target is calculated based on total fare collected (before GrabCar’s 20% commission) but excluding tips and tolls. Promo value is included in total fare.
    8. GrabCar will only collect a 20% commission of your original fare, not the top up portion. For the airport (KLIA / KLIA 2) campaign, Grab’s 20% commission will only be on the RM65 fare, not on the RM12 top up.
    9. RM65 fare is only applicable for Klang valley airport bookings to / from KLIA & KLIA 2. Subang airport is excluded from the RM65 Airport campaign but it is part of our busy areas. Take note that all airport fares (both drop off and pick up) contributes to your target fare collection.
    10. To keep track of your fare, check your driver app job history on the number of pick-ups during bonus and non-bonus hours. GrabCar’s 20% commission is listed in the driver app job history. Divide this value by 0.2 to get the total fare.
    11. If your average fare collected per job is higher than the guaranteed average fare for the earnings tier that you hit, you will not be reimbursed, you will earn the fare as per usual. We will only reimburse the average fare difference if your average fare is lower than the guaranteed average fare for the earnings tier you are eligible for.
    12. Minimum guaranteed average fare per job will be calculated based on either Bonus Hours or Non Bonus Hours. For example, we will top up the guaranteed average fare for every completed job during bonus hours only if you hit a bonus hour target. However, if you hit both bonus hours and non-bonus hours targets, we will top up the guaranteed average fare for all your jobs.
    13. Non bonus hours are hours outside of Bonus Hours EXCEPT for 12-6amMonday – Friday.
    14. For instances where fraudulent bookings are found, an internal investigation would be conducted by Grab. Drivers may or may not qualify for earnings payout, depending on the findings of the investigation.
    15. Payout will still be on a weekly basis despite daily targets.
    16. This earning structure is only applicable for GrabCar (Economy) as per the week communicated. Any previous earning structure is not applicable.
