    GrabCar Weekly Earning Structure – May 23, 2016 to May 29, 2016

    One new week, one new busy area! It’s getting even easier to hit your 40% requirement for bonus hours because we are adding Cheras, KL as part of our busy areas. Not just that! We have also expanded Central PJ map to include Jalan Gasing and its surrounding areas. (Read on for further details)

    Also, starting on Monday, jobs picked up from Cyberjaya will NOT contribute towards your fare target collection for incentives/earnings for both bonus and non bonus hours. But don’t worry, you will still get your fare as per usual if you pick up passengers from Cyberjaya.

    Earning Structure

    *Bonus Hours are:
    Monday till Thursday: 6am to 10am; 5pm to 8pm
    Friday: 6am to 10am; 12pm to 2pm; 5pm to 3am (Ends on Saturday)
    Saturday: 11am to 2pm; 5pm to 3am (Ends on Sunday)
    Sunday: 11am to 2pm; 5pm to 10pm

    **Non Bonus Hours are hours outside Bonus Hours
    ***For Saturday, (12am – 3am) and Sunday (12am – 3am) fare amount collected will be contributed towards Friday’s and Saturday’s incentive respectively.


    Airport Promo is here to stay
    *You will get a total gross earnings of RM 80 for each airport trip.
    RM 80 = RM 65 (Received from Passenger) + RM15 (Immediate Top Up into Credit Wallet) 
    Take note that all airport fares (both drop off and pick up) contribute to your fare collection for your earning structure
    *RM65 fare is only applicable for Klang Valley airport bookings to / from KLIA & KLIA 2. Subang airport is excluded from the RM65 Airport campaign but it is part of our busy areas.

    Busy Areas

    Good news! Cheras, KL is now part of our busy areas. We have also expanded our Central PJ area to include Jalan Gasing and landmarks nearby [MORE AREAS FOR YOU TO HIT 40%!] Now we have 12 busy areas for you to explore. Head to busy areas now to pick up passengers during bonus hours!

    To qualify for bonus hours earnings, 40% of your bonus hours jobs in a week must be picked up from busy areas. Please find detailed map of our busy areas here – http://bit.ly/gc_busyareas


    Driver Cancellation Rate

    For the period of May 23 to May 29, 2016, drivers are required to maintain a maximum of weekly driver cancellation rate at 12% in order to qualify for earnings.Weekly driver cancellation rate* is calculated as NUMBER OF DRIVER CANCELLATIONS IN A WEEK divided by NUMBER OF ACCEPTED BOOKINGS IN A WEEK.

    *For earnings purposes only, bookings cancelled by passengers will NOT affect weekly driver cancellation rate. However, high overall cancellation rate will still be monitored.


    Driver Rating

    To qualify for earnings, you would need to maintain an average driving rating of 4.2 and above.Tips on how to be a 5 star driver:

    1. Always use Waze / Google Maps to get to your passengers pick up and drop off point.
    2. Be polite and humble to passengers.
    3. Always drive safely – Eg: avoid texting when driving, drive within the speed limit, be alert to traffic lights and other vehicles around you, and remember to put your seatbelt on.
    4. Honour all GrabPay and promo bookings.

    How do you earn more?

    1. To achieve the target you want for Bonus Hours, you can plan when you want to drive. When you should aim to drive most:
    • Morning Rush (6am till 10am, from Monday to Friday) – Going to work
    • Happy Hour (5pm till 8pm, from Monday to Thursday) – Heading Home
    • Night Out (5pm till 3am, Friday & Saturday) – Party
    • Brunch (11am till 2pm, Saturday & Sunday) – Socialise and family time
    1. Check your SMS & in-app messages. 
    2. Continue to accept bookings even after you achieved your fare target. Your earnings is per job so your earnings is unlimited even though you have achieved your fare target.

    The Fine Print

    To qualify for earnings, you must:

    1. Maintain an average driver rating of 4.2 and above.
    2. Maintain a Weekly Acceptance Score of 80%. Your Weekly Acceptance Score will be reset on every Monday at 12:01am to 0%.
    3. To qualify for earnings, pick-up is limited to areas within KLIA, KLIA 2 and Klang Valley (except Cyberjaya – NEW!) only. You can drop off anywhere in Klang Valley, Genting Highlands, KLIA and KLIA 2. Drop offs outside these areas will not be included in target fare collection.
    4. To qualify for bonus hours earnings, 40% of your bonus hours jobs in a week must be picked up from busy areas. If you do not meet this requirement, you will not be eligible for any bonus hours earnings. This requirement does not apply for non-bonus hours earnings.
    5. Earnings will be calculated based on your weekly unique passenger count. Each unique passenger entitles you to ONE completed ride for the week. Only the fare amount of your FIRST unique passenger booking will be taken into the calculation of fare collection target.
    6. Achieve the fare target that is calculated based on bonus and/or non bonus-hours tier. Fare target is on the basis of total fare collected (before GrabCar’s 20% commission) but excluding tips and tolls. Promo value is included in total fare.
    7. GrabCar will only collect 20% commission of your original fare, not the top up portion. For the airport (KLIA / KLIA 2) campaign, Grab’s 20% commission will be only on the RM65 fare not on the RM15 top up.
    8. RM 65 fare is only applicable for Klang Valley airport bookings to / from KLIA & KLIA 2.
    9. To keep track of your fare, check your driver app job history on number of pick-ups during bonus and non-bonus hours. GrabCar’s 20% commission is listed in the driver app job history. Divide this value by 0.2 to get the total fare.
    10. If your fare is higher than the guaranteed fare for the earnings tier that you hit, you will not be reimbursed with any fare difference, you will earn the fare as per normal. We will only reimburse the fare difference if your fare is lower than the fare target.
    11. Minimum fare guarantee will be calculated based on the respective hours, either Bonus Hours or Non Bonus Hours. For example, we will top up the guaranteed fare for all jobs that you did during bonus hours only if you hit a bonus hour target. However, if you hit bonus hours and non-bonus hours targets, we will guarantee all your jobs.
    12. For instances where fraudulent bookings are found, an internal investigation would be conducted by Grab. Drivers may or may not qualify for earnings payout, depending on the findings of the investigation.
    13. Payout will still be on a weekly basis despite daily targets.
    14. This earning structure is only applicable for GrabCar (Economy) as per the week communicated. Any previous earning structure is not applicable.
